I used to be a super type-A person with goals and color coded calendars.

Very high-achieving, very anxious — until God worked on my heart, brought me a very chill & laid back husband, and brought me babies who turned my sense of order upside down 🙃

So now I’m pretty chill. Thank God 🙌🏼

Publishing my book was just a one-day, what-if idea until I joined bookstagram. Being in this community has pushed me and inspired me more than I thought possible.

So here’s to a new year filled with dreams and ideas and the connections that make it all worthwhile 🤍

Are you a goal oriented person or a go-with-the-flow type?

Novel November was a success for me!

My goal was 18 hours of revisions (and drafting if we got there)!

I ended up meeting that goal & surpassing it with 32 hours of revisions 🎉
👉🏻 no real drafting, but I did make lots of notes and got some plotting for book 2 done 🤭

Some surprising changes during this revision: while I intended to cut word count… I ended up adding about 1.5-2k more words 🙈

I just couldn’t shake one piece of beta reader feedback & ended up adding a scene to help increase the mystery, the tension & the fuuuun 😉

I did clean up a lot in the first half & touched up several scenes in the second half between Scout & Alaric (swooon) 💕

Super excited that this ⚡️final⚡️ round of revisions are complete and now all it needs is proofreading before publishing!! 🥹🤍

Some surprising changes during this revision: while I intended to cut word count… I ended up adding about 1.5-2k more words 🙈

I just couldn’t shake one piece of beta reader feedback & ended up adding a scene to help increase the mystery, the tension & the fuuuun 😉

I did clean up a lot in the first half & touched up several scenes in the second half between Scout & Alaric (swooon) 💕

Super excited that this ⚡️final⚡️ round of revisions are complete and now all it needs is proofreading before publishing!! 🥹🤍

Revisions are going great. With the baby transitioning to one nap a day, I get several uninterrupted hours of editing that are just 🤌🏼🤌🏼

We had one Friendsgiving last week & another this weekend with friends from home visiting. I’m bursting with joy 🤩 (icymi; we recently moved across the country for my husband’s work & it’s been tough!)
